Recipe Specials for March

English Ales are the April club style of the month, and we have plenty of those to put on special.

Notting Hill Pub Bitter, our first recipe special is a classic English Bitter. It's an example of the style known as Ordinary Bitter but there's nothing ordinary about the flavor. It's also a great session beer. Purchase it for $22 this month.

Brown Derby Ale is a long-time store favorite. It's an example of the classic Northern Brown Ale style, best exemplified by Newcastle Brown. It sells for $26 in March.

The third special is another bitter, Colonel Bogie's ESB. It's a stronger than average beer, making it hearty drink. So drink hearty, mates, it's only $30.

Hop Rhizomes in Stock!

Thanks to some heavy shovel work on Tim's part, our hop planters have been completely reworked. The result is that we have hop rhizomes available much earlier than usual. You can choose from Cascade and Nugget varieties, both of which grow well in the L.A. area. There will also be rhizomes available from commercial sources late next month, but most likely at a higher price than the $5 we're asking for the ones from our garden.

Carboy Handles in Stock

We were finally able to obtain handles for 6.5 gallon carboys. If you're holding an IOU from us for one of these, come in and get them while the supply lasts.

3 Gallon Kegs in Stock

If you're looking for an alternative to bottling but don't have enough refrigerator space for standard 5 gallon corny kegs, we've got a solution for you. 3 gallon corny kegs will fit inside a refrigerator without removing shelv es. They've been hard to find lately but we've got some in stock now.

Seasonal Yeasts in Stock

We have a number of seasonal yeasts available. The newest from Wyeast is the Bavarian Weizen yeast. Meanwhile, in White Lab's platinum line, we have Essex Ale and Australian Ale.
